Below are answers to common questions that you may have regarding your massage.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit consists of a health history interview. A link to the health history form is sent by e-mail once your appointment has been scheduled. If you haven't completed the online form, please arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your first appointment time to complete the form. Your therapist will begin your session by going through this form with you which may lead to assessment testing and questions that ensure you are provided with the best possible treatment to suit your needs.
How will massage benefit me?
There are many benefits to massage that may include reduced stress, increased range of motion, reduced muscular tension, reduced joint pain and/or inflammation and many other health related benefits. Our therapists will work with you based on your health history and post treatment success to develop a plan to maximize your specific needs.
Will my massage hurt?
Your treatment plan will be discussed and you will agree to what you are comfortable with. At any time during a session you are uncomfortable or it hurts too much (a pain scale will be discussed) the treatment can be altered or stopped at any time. Some post muscle soreness can be expected 24-48 hours after your treatment and this may last a day or two. There are things you can do at home to decrease the soreness and this will be discussed with your therapist.
When and how do I pay for my session?
Payment is made after your session is over. We will be able to direct bill for most insurance companies. If you choose this method of payment you will need to fill out some paperwork to grant us access to your insurance benefits. You will then only pay what your coverage does not. We accept debit, cash, or e-transfer.
Can I see different therapists at this clinic?
Our therapists work as a team and we encourage you to schedule your appointment with any of our therapists. If you prefer a particular therapist that is fine too.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes. Gift certificates are available for purchase at our clinic.
